Reclaim Rubber

Reclaim Rubber is manufactured by samson reclaim rubbers ltd using a chemical devulcanisation process with end of life scrap tyres and factory rubber product waste as base material. Reclaim rubber is mainly used as a process aid and large proportion extender in rubber compounding for the manufacture of several not so critical rubber products such as mats, dock fenders, semi-pneumatic tyres, conveyor belts.

SRR supplies around 75 percent of the domestic market requirements and niche markets overseas, helping Sri Lanka to minimise damage to the environment and health caused by discarded tyres. A recently commenced project uses recycled tyre crumb to manufacture safety rubber tiles for surfacing kids play areas, walkways and landscaping, substituting for injury causing cemented surfacing.
