Globe Knitting (Pvt) Ltd was established in 1991 as a foreign owned limited liability company to produce and export socks for the global market. Following the globalization of the textile industry, Mr. Manfred Kroehl founded Globe Knitting (Pvt) Ltd under the approval of the Board of Investment (BOI) of Sri Lanka. With easy accessibility to international shipping routes, the Company takes good advantage of its location in South Asia. Since inception, the Company has expanded its product range to include knitted tights, leggings, and warmers with value additions. Globe Knitting joined hands with DSI Samson Group in 2012.

The factory has been awarded the SA8000:2008 certification and Quality standards such as Oeko Tex (Product Class I). The Company also maintains the manufacturing standards demanded by Naturaline production (BioRe). The high flexibility as well as the process oriented production stages of the Company combined with well-trained and motivated local and expatriate staff guarantees high design capability, product quality and on-time delivery. Globe Knitting manufactures hosiery items such as socks and tights from double and single cylinder machines and the Company’s present annual capacity is more than 6.5 million pairs per annum. The Company fully adheres to National Labour laws as well as international guidelines stipulated by the ILO (International Labour Organization) and various other codes of conduct. In addition to its high standards of quality, customers from Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, UK, New Zealand, Canada and Dubai appreciate the Company’s timely deliveries of orders. Few of our main buyers are USF Liechtenstein, Podojil Switzerland, DSI Samson group, COOP Denmark, Next Sourcing and Richter Canada.
